What if I find a piece of music or the writer offensive?

Pepper does not shut down free speech or limit the musical art form unless it causes harm to someone or as required by law. All users of this website should be aware that music lyrics and imagery may be offensive, as it presents music written over hundreds of years and curated for over 150 years of American music publishing activity. If we receive a complaint about a piece of music, we contact the individuals who publish the work to notify them of the complaint and determine the proper course of action.

Some complaints are against a specific individual. We cannot judge any person’s character, guilt, or innocence. We respect the rights of all individuals to speak for themselves.
