How does Pepper choose the music it features?

Modified on Fri, Jan 31, 2025 at 6:00 PM

Every year Pepper adds over 60,000 publications to our catalog. For genres important to school, church, and community group directors, we have a small team of music professionals who review and categorize the new music to help guide directors to materials appropriate for their needs. We call our music reviewers Editors, and they are all experienced band, choir, and orchestra directors and teachers.

We intend Pepper's recommendations to be a starting place for finding literature, frequently new literature; however, we don't intend our recommendations to limit the choice for directors. We aim to help you develop your program, always respecting that the only expert for any program is the person leading it. We recognize and celebrate that no two choirs, bands, orchestras, or classrooms are alike. We offer a broad array of music to fit a variety of needs. We hope you find something of value in our vast offering.
